Dress-Up is NOT just for little girls!
“Deep in every heart slumbers a dream, and the couturier knows it: every woman is a princess.” -Christian Dior
Whether you put on a beautiful gown for yourself, your significant other, or to re-enter your childhood through “princess dress-up” with your little girls, putting on a flowing, sexy, glittery, or layered dress can be so much fun!!
The PhotoWagon houses my client wardrobe and serves as a mobile dressing room so that you can wear a beautiful gown wherever we shoot!
WHO YOU WILL MEET:
Mini sessions that include gown rentals are booked back-to-back which may mean that I am finishing up with a previous client when you arrive. If that is the case, then you will be lucky enough to be greeted by either one of my kiddos or by my husband!! They will assist you with anything you need and can answer your questions.
Which Gown to Choose
When you book a session that includes access to the PhotoWagon, it is necessary, for time's sake, to have preselected which dress you would love to wear. Don't worry too much about size. If the dress is a little snug, the zipper can be left partially undone, and if it is too large we clip the back around the neck, chest, and waist to give it a nice fit.
The session time (30 minutes for minis) includes changing time. The faster you get into your dress, the more time we have to shoot!
If your session includes multiple people, the dresses that you choose do not have to coordinate well, as colors can be adjusted to ensure cohesive photographs.
What to Wear to the Shoot:
Wear comfortable shoes because they will be hidden (unless you choose a short dress). Even if the dress naturally does not cover the shoes, I will adjust things post-processing.
Wear easy-to-remove clothing (button-down shirts, etc. Many of the adult dresses require a strapless bra or to go without one). Quick-change clothing will help get us to the fun part of the session sooner!
If it is going to be chilly, feel free to keep leggings on under the dress, though most of the dresses have lots of fabric and are quite warm anyway. Bring a jacket or sweatshirt, especially for little ones!
As of now, the PhotoWagon only has clothing for girls, so I would suggest that you have your guys wear nice "dress" pants (khaki, black or gray) and a neutral-colored shirt. If they have a suit- go for it!! If they have none of the above, jeans and a dress shirt would look just fine too!
Hair and Make-Up
Curls in hair are very classic, but feel free to put it up in a bun, or braid it beforehand so it is crimpy, or embrace the straightness of your hair!
For make-up, come with your normal look, or have fun with it a little bit. One of the best things you can do is put on some lip gloss or at least chapstick to give your lips a smooth look with a shine. Mascara is really helpful for enhancing the eyes.
